A number of comments have been received from south-west based regulators regarding the quality of membranes installed in buildings for protection against ground gases. By way of reminder, guidance on good practice for designers, installers and verifiers is provided in CIRIA (2014) Good practice on the testing and verification of protection systems for buildings against hazardous gases C735.
Practitioners are also pointed towards the good practice guidance on the Liverpool City Council website including the Gas Protection Validation Proforma and Gas Protection Examples.
